I have used Jeff as the photographer on several personal injury matters where permanent scarring was a significant part of damage. Jeff was very professional in all respects and easy to work with. He was sensitive to the clients and took accurate and effective photographs that allowed us to convey the nature of the scarring to the insurer even before the claim was filed. Jeff was able to work independently and was willing to travel to a client’s home when it was not possible for them to come in to Seattle. I was very happy with his work in all respects.

Jeff is not simply a medical photographer, he is also an artist who takes the time to understand the injury, impairment, scar, or hardware so that his finished product reflects its impact on the whole person. He knows his job is to accurately convey the message we need to leave with juries, defense lawyers, focus groups and insurers.

Jeff’s knowledge of anatomy is remarkable. This allows him to talk with physicians almost as a peer, speaking the same language to the point where the doctor feels they are a member of the graphics team, assisting Jeff to accurately and truthfully visually represent the injury.

In the most recent case I worked with Jeff on, my client had undergone a craniotomy, a craniectomy, and finally a cranioplasty over a four month period. When several of the retaining screws began to emerge out of her skull, Jeff took a series of photographs that would make any viewer pause and consider what that must be like for the client. He was able to achieve this emotional response through the photographs because of his ability to connect with my client. As I said at the outset, he is not simply a medical illustrator, he is an artist.
